A quality translation begins with a highly skilled translator. That's how we see it. So Apex hand-selects accomplished and accredited translators with at least five years of translation experience.
Our translators are professionals in their respective fields such as attorneys, doctors, engineers, scientists, financial experts, scholars, or members of the diplomatic community. They understand the specific translation standards within their fields.
Qualifications Are Just The Beginning - we expect more from our translators than a bilingual resume. Each candidate must pass our own rigorous battery of tests and interviews. And we assign only native speakers to your translation projects. Picky? Of course. Our reputation for accuracy and professionalism rests on them. And so does yours.

Hans Schlamadinger, CEO/CFO and Technical Director
A professional engineer with a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Graz, Austria,
Mr. Schlamadinger spent over 30 years in leading positions in research and development
in the automotive industry in both the USA and abroad. A native
German speaker, he also worked as a German/English technical translator for many years.

Florian Deltgen, Ph.D., PD,
Chief Linguist
Dr. Deltgen combines a comprehensive linguistic expertise with in-depth knowledge and long-term experience in various areas of business management, markets, and technologies. He is fluent in five languages and has a working knowledge in six more, including several non-European languages. He holds a Ph.D. from Cologne University, Germany, with a focus on comparative linguistics and anthropology. Dr. Deltgen also pursued postgraduate studies in pharmacology and transcultural medicine, and received the post-doctoral degree of "Habilitation" from the same university. After several years of lecturing and research, he shifted to the business sector and has served in executive positions over the past 22 years for several international corporations, including leading translation and localization firms.

Winfried Schlamadinger, Manager of Apex’ European office
Resides in Austria, Europe, and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of our European office. Prior to joining Apex, Mr. Schlamadinger has been active in management functions and as consultant in the mining and construction equipment industry in Western & Eastern Europe, United States, as well as in the Middle East.

Amanda Roberson, Office Manager
and Project Manager
In addition to managing the day-to-day office management tasks,
Ms. Roberson also functions as a project manager for Apex Translations. Her duties include preparing proposals and interacting with our translators and our clients from around the globe. Ms. Roberson holds an Associate's degree in Accounting and Business Administration.

Lois Askew, Sales Representative
Her main task is to maintain contact with our customers and work with our project managers to ensure optimal services to clients.
Prior to joining Apex, Ms. Askew has held several administrative positions in local Government in North Carolina for over 30 years.

René Deltgen, German/English proofreader, project manager for special projects, and IT support
Mr. Deltgen is fully bilingual in German and English and serves as our German/English proofreader.
He also manages demanding large and complex translation projects that require advanced computer/IT skills.
In addition, he ensures that Apex' network functions properly, all anti-virus software is up-to-date, and all files are adequately and securely backed up daily.

Ricardo Gómez, Spanish Linguist, Proofreader, Translator
A prominent Colombian journalist and editor, Mr. Gómez specializes in English-to-Spanish translations, tapping his deep knowledge of diverse variations of the Spanish language throughout Latin America and Europe. He has chaired a group of Spanish linguists responsible for authoring a comparative dictionary for the publisher, Editora Cinco, where he was later named Head Copy Editor and Editor-in-Chief of the Spanish-language publication of Popular Science magazine. Additionally, Mr. Gómez was Editor-in-Chief of the popular magazine Muy Interesante, where he translated Iberian Spanish into a neutral Spanish understood by both Central and South American readers.

Teresa Kerber, English Proofreader
Ms. Kerber proofreads all documents translated into English for Apex clients. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Business Education from East Carolina University with additional graduate study in instructional technology. Ms. Kerber recently retired from teaching at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels. During her educational career, she served as an Assistant Dean of Curriculum on the collegiate level as well as an Associate Professor of Business Information Technology. She has also provided software training throughout Northeast North Carolina.

Emily Phillips, Project Manager
Ms. Phillips holds a Bachelor of Arts from Campbell University in Government with focus on pre-law. Prior to joining Apex, she has worked for two law firms as a paralegal/legal assistant. Her duties include preparing proposals and interacting with our translators and our clients from around the globe.

Benoît Reynders, French Linguist
A native French speaker from Brussels, Belgium, Mr. Reynders studied journalism at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at the University of Massachusetts and acquired a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from Northeastern University. Mr. Reynders has held positions as a Research Assistant, Reference Librarian, Industry Researcher, Industry Specialist, and Financial Writer. He has also taught French in private and public schools for five years.
