- ISO 9001 Certification
In an ever more global economy and increasingly competitive market, managing quality becomes not just a matter of improving a company´s competitiveness but also one of survival. More and more corporations demand that their suppliers of goods and services manage their quality in accordance to very strict rules that are regulated by the International Organization for Standardization. As a result, the number of companies that are certified according to ISO standards grows larger every day.
Some of the key requirements of ISO 9001 include:
• A set of procedures that cover all key processes in the business
• Monitoring processes to ensure they are effective
• Keeping adequate records
• Checking output for defects, with appropriate and corrective action where necessary
• Regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness
• Facilitating continual improvement
In late 2009, Apex decided to obtain certification according to ISO 9001/2008, EN 15038 and to ASTM 2572-06.
In order to facilitate the process of assuring full compliance as quickly as possible, we contracted with AccessQMS in January 2010.
We have completed the unofficial Certification Audit and are on plan to be fully certified for ISO/EN/ASTM by mid 2012.
